ADP - Error: Duplicate or Invalid Key error
Users may receive a number of different errors related to duplicate or invalid keys, dependant on the specific set-up of their system.
*Duplicate Key
Error: This key is already part of of the installed Licence Key collection.
The key the users is trying to add is already held in the application. Users should use the Licence Key Wizard to check what keys are installed using the drop-down menu:
1. Open the ADP Licence Key Wizard
2. Select 'Obtain or manually add another Activation Key' > Next
3. Under 'Installed Keys' is the drop-down box where you can view all installed Startup and Activation Keys.
*Invalid Key
Error: This Key could not be decoded correctly.
The key may have been mistyped or copied incorrectly. The user should check that the key they are trying to install is correct. It is recommended that users always use the Copy & Paste (Ctrl&C / Ctrl&V) keyboard functions when entering key details.
If the user is trying to enter an Activation key, the key may be invalid because of recent hardware configuration changes.
