ATT - Under Keel Clearance and Squat

Under Keel Clearance (UKC)
 - This is the depth of water required beneath the keel for the safe passage of the vessel.

A value for UKC, together with parameters for Draught and Masthead height can be set within TotalTide using the menu View - Options.

TotalTide can then use the entered values to determine if it is safe to enter a particular port based on the predicted depth of water at the specified time.

Squat- ADP TotalTide does not calculate this value and it should be factored in by the user as part of their planning process.

It is normally calculated using the depth of water and the speed of the vessel (in addition to Draught and Under Keel Allowance calculations)
