ADP - How To Activate
When you first install ADP on to a new PC, or if you have been requested to perform a Total uninstall, you will need to request a new Activation Key to complete the installation and Activate the ADP Software.
How to request an Activation Key
Note - Activation Keys are locked to specific computers and can not be transferred from one to another.
You now have 2 options:
1 - Activate over the internet
If the PC you are using has internet access
1. Select ‘Activate over the internet’ option
2. Select ‘Next’
3. The 'Licence Key Wizard – Main or Backup Computer' screen is displayed showing your computer name
4. Select the “MAIN / BACKUP” computer button
5. Select ‘Next’
6. Click on the ‘Activate over the internet’ icon
7. You should now have successfully added the Activation Key and will have full access to all areas purchased
2 - Request or add an Activation Key
If the PC you are using does not have direct internet access
Main or Backup Computer' screen is displayed showing your computer name
4. Select the “MAIN / BACKUP” computer button
5. Select ‘Next’
6. The 'Licence Key Wizard – Create Activation Key Request' screen is displayed
7. Select the Email Icon and this will generate an email which is addressed to ADPMailGateway@ukho.gov.uk in the subject line there will be a string of letters and numbers starting ‘AKR’, in the body of the email there will be codes containing the Activation request.
DO NOT AMEND OR ADD ANYTHING TO THIS EMAIL AS THIS MAY PREVENT IT FROM BEING PROCESSED
8. Click on the Send button to submit your request.
9. You should then receive a response with the Activation Key
10. Go back into the ‘ADP Licence Key Wizard – Start Up Key Only’ screen
11. Choose the option ‘Request or add an Activation Key’
12. Click ‘Next’
13. Choose the option ‘Add an Activation Key’
14. Click ‘Next’
15. Enter the Activation Key provided (copy & paste)
16. Click ‘Next’
17. You should now have successfully added the Activation Key and will have access to all areas purchased
