We have created an S-121 trial data set of the UK for you to download and test

Our first release of S-121 Maritime Limits and Boundaries trial data covering United Kingdom Limits is now available for you to explore and test in your systems.

Our free of charge S-121 trial data set can be viewed and downloaded from our S-100 Data Catalogue.

The S-121 data set supports users who need knowledge of maritime limits, zones and boundaries.

The underlying data of our S-121 Maritime Limits and Boundaries of UK Limits in Release 1.0 is designed to meet the current published edition of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) S-121 standard v1.0.

S-121 Trail Data Set Overview

  • Is comprised of a Geography Markup Language (GML) file with a single feature layer called ‘Limits’ which holds the Limits and Boundaries for the United Kingdom
  • Holds information regarding feature types such as Exclusive Economic Zone limits, international boundaries, straight baselines etc. and associated information for each feature
  • Provides maritime limits and boundaries defined by the UK’s statutory instruments under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

The S-121 trial data set forms part of a package of ADMIRALTY S-100 standard trial data sets we are making available free of charge to help support your development, testing and use of future S-100 products and services.

The S-121 trial data set is available to download from our S-100 Data Catalogue on the ADMIRALTY Marine Data Portal
